Local Family, local knowledge.

We are part of the local DERHAM fishing family who have lived and worked in the area for over 300 years. The owner, Paul DERHAM, was in the Merchant Navy with P&O for 27 years rising to the rank of Staff Captain on the P&O cruise ships Aurora and Oriana. He downsized in 2003 and bought the Mudeford Ferry.

In 2006 we decided to expand into sea pleasure trips having been authorised to do so by Christchurch Borough Council.

If the Skipper is not Paul Derham, than he will be a local fisherman or local folk who know the waters well and have a great knowledge and interest in the area of your cruise.

The DERHAM family have been associated with the local modern Mudeford RNLI lifeboat station since 1963 although there are records showing a DERHAM as coxswain of a boat that rescued the crew of a Brig in 1866.
